Our pastor

Throughout history God has chosen to use foolish things to confound the wisdom of this world. He did nothing different in choosing Reverend Patrick Toney as a mouth piece to proclaim the mysteries of his word. One of four children to Michael Toney and Patricia (James) Hilliard, Rev. Toney attended the public schools of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At an early age, evidence of God’s call had been witnessed in his life. It wasn’t until the year of 2005 that he felt moved to acknowledge this divine call.

Since answering the call, Rev Toney has given himself to what he calls a life of learning. He immediately enrolled in a two-year program at World Harvest Bible College, receiving a Diploma of Arts in Religion. He continued his educational career at Ohio Christian University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, and has obtained graduate level credits through a Master’s Degree program at Luther Rice College & Seminary.

He has been blessed with a beautiful wife of over 14 years, Mrs. Lea Toney, that truly supports his vision and assists in his ministry efforts. Together they are raising three wonderful children who also love the Lord and help him in fulfilling God’s purpose and plan. They are Taishawn, Venaia, and Jonathan.

The privilege of being raised in the inner city of Milwaukee has equipped him to relate to the plight of our communities. He has a heart for this generation, and believes that through the power of God, change is inevitable. Rev Toney is a firm believer in declaring God’s word, and he consistently declares over God’s people that, “This is the generation of them that shall seek Him…”! (Psalm 24)

Since Rev Patrick Toney’s transition to Macon Georgia, he has faithfully served at Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church, under the awesome leadership of Pastor Ronald G. Toney. He has recently been called to an exciting new assignment; which is the pastorate of The Holly Spring Baptist Church in East Dublin Georgia. It is Pastor Toney’s sincere prayer that the Lord will use him in this new assignment to empower & equip another generation to impact the culture with the power of God!
